Masterbatch offers processors an easy and convenient way of adding color and/or performance enhancing additives to natural or base polymers on their own plant. This technique delivers a compelling combination of cost effective and technical benefits including reduced stock holding of compounded material, reduction in cleaning costs, optimum dispersion and hence maintaining reliable color and performance properties in the finished product. A masterbatch is a solid concentrate of color and/or performance enhancing additives such as anti-static, UV stabilizer, metal deactivator is added to a base polymer to impart these attributes. It is usually supplied in granular form, either as pellets similar in size to most polymers or as miniature pellets, known as micro granules. Alternatively, masterbatch can be delivered in 'rough cut' form - a mixture of small shreds and chunks. End Application

Injection molding, blow molding, profile extrusion, sheet extrusion, film extrusion, cast film, fibers and calendared sheet processes commonly employ master batch. Polymer Specific / Engineering polymers Masterbatch

Polymer specific master batch, which are pre-dried with the host polymer, may be added at high loading without compatibility problems. However, there may be some limitations on the range of colors which are achievable and not all engineering polymers lend themselves to masterbatch conversion. PVC Masterbatch

Special Effect Masterbatch

Special effect masterbatches usually include special pigments or fillers to achieve different visual effects such as marble, metallic, phosphorescence, glitter, fluorescence, wood or granite. The colors in special effect masterbatch that change under the influence of temperature or ultra-violet light are also possible. Multifunctional and Additive Masterbatch

These masterbatches contain color and carrier as usual but more importantly; a variety of additives are also used to enhance the process or the end product in several different ways. Most masterbatches are polymer specific and their purpose is to speed up subsequent manufacturing processes; in effect to optimize the processes used to convert polymer granules to end product and/or to adjust the physical and chemical properties of the polymer to suit the requirements of a particular end application.

FAV has developed a wide range of white masterbatch specifically formulated with polyolefin’s and styrene’s polymers. This well established product range is based on selected premium TiO2 and calcium carbonate filler with and without any content of fluorescence whitener. This product is designed for general purpose film, injection, blowing etc. These masterbatches are used at additional 1%-5% level depending on the type of application, opacity/coloring requirements and thickness of the end products. Polyethylene filling masterbatch is a kind of micron-sized Calcium Carbonate masterbatch which is pure in nature and it is made up of raw materials; PE, PP or styrene resin used as the carrier. The amount of additives is added according to the needs of the customers. It has good physical properties which includes; the dispersity, stability and does not affect the processing precision of machine screw. These types of masterbatches can be widely used in PE, PP, PS, ABS and all kinds of plastic products including; PE plastic bags and plastic injection moulds. Flourescent Materbatch

Fluorescent Masterbatch are particularly for certain resins such as PP, PE, PMMA, PC, etc. By injection, extrusion and blowing molding, you can use photoluminescent plastic pellets directly to make luminous plastic products.

These products can glow for more than 10 hours continuously in the dark after absorbing various visible lights for 10-30 minutes without any toxicant and radioactivity.

Our standard percentages of the photoluminescent pigment in the photoluminescent plastic pallets are 25% and 50%.
The brightness and afterglow time of your finished products can be adjusted by adding more resins into the compounds. In order to make your photoluminescent finished products you can get various colors, you choose. Photo luminescent pigments are available in different colors. Otherwise, you can also use dyes/pigment to colorize it. The Dyes/pigments can definitely affect the brightness and afterglow time of the finished products. You can also use light color dyes / pigments to minimize the brightness. Research and Development Masterbatch
